Ireland Self Drive Holiday
We are planning to travel to Ireland next year around mid to late May and wanted some advice on a self-drive itinerary for around 4 to 6 weeks. We want to do all of Ireland and we're not really sure if this is an appropriate amount of time to allow to have a really good look around without rushing. Our interests are history and scenery. Any suggestions on timeframe and/or itinerary would be most appreciated, as we ... [Posted by travel_deb - Sep 13, 08:52]

Be hosted in Europe
Hi everyone, I plan to travel alone in Europe next year. I'm not sure yet which countries to visit but I know I want to make a stop in France! Anyway, I'd rather stay with locals instead of booking a hotel. There are many homesharing platforms (Airbnb, Couchsurfing, Hospitality Club, La Voyageuse, Be Welcome) and I don't know which one is the best. Any advice?? ... [Posted by maesawyer - Aug 13, 14:35]

Christmas and Snowboarding
I’ve done a lot of research on where to spend our Christmas holiday from Dec 21-31. We’d mainly want to go snowboarding every day and take lessons (we are beginners) but I think we also want to enjoy a European Christmas atmosphere since we've never been to Europe during the holidays. So we are thinking Austria would be great. What would be the best area for us to get in some good days on the slopes with guaranteed snow ... [Posted by lxnd - Aug 12, 10:54]

Cheapest Flights London to Naples. / Hotel Pompeii Be Green
I've just been looking into a trip some time in the next couple of years to take my history-loving wife to Pompeii for a long weekend.
Does anyone have any recommendations of airlines who do an enjoyable but cheap trip to that destination?
Also I've heard good things on a hotel booking site about Hotel Pompei Be Green which is nice and close. Can anyone back up thereviews? Is it worth getting a balconay room or would a standard double room be ... [Posted by MalaChi - Aug 08, 15:38]

Visiting the Spanish Steps in Rome
I have read about some of the new ordinances Rome is enacting to combat the massive amount of tourists that visit the city. Today I just saw an article saying they are no longer allowing tourists to sit on the Spanish Steps. This has been a rite of passage for visitors to Rome for many years. I am glad I had a chance to visit and have my photo taken there. I do understand the problems ... [Posted by littlesam1 - Aug 08, 13:38]

Interrail passes will no longer cover UK beyond London

Early December Trip to Italy
I am planning a 7 days trip to Italy in 1st week of December 2019.
The tentative itinerary is 1. Venice(2 Days), 2. Florence(2 Days) & 3. Rome(3 Days).

Is this travel plan good for 7 Days?
Please suggest any must visit places(museum, historic places, restaurants, etc) in these 3 cities.
Any & all suggestions & information is most welcome.
Thank you in advance!! ... [Posted by ninad07kulkarni - Aug 07, 09:47]

Europe - tour or organise yourself?
hope this isn't too general a question, but my wife and I want to go to Europe next year. Thinking to go for about 15 days. Paris and Rome are must-haves. Also would like to see some of Gernany and Spain. Thinking London might be good to include, and if so, could fly to London then go to the Continent from there.
Going on a tour seems attractive from the point of view that everything's taken care of, ... [Posted by fredfang - Aug 03, 16:01]

Terrifying experience in a hotel in Vienna, Austria
I would like to ask you for your opinion on what you would do in this case.
2 days ago, a staff member (specifically, a person called -snip-, in a hotel called Hotel Lucia, in Hutteldorfer Strasse in Vienna, Austria) entered into my room in the hotel (paid in advance for 5 days) using his own key while I was alone and asleep and did not leave when he saw that I was there. He instead advanced towards me in a ... [Posted by tijanart - Jul 28, 13:52]

Will there be any problems when traveling to Europe from Rus
Hello travelers! We plan in August to go on a trip to Europe, initially going on his car from Kaliningrad to Germany. And as always, it does not do without "but". We assume that huddling in the 5th in one car may not be comfortable and along the way we will use the rental of an additional car. I studied the forums and faced a situation where people had problems with renting a car in Europe. As far as ... [Posted by DenisVasiliev - Jul 13, 14:00]
